Well well well... I played the first one on a console... wasn't super impressed. BUT then my little bro bought 2 for the Dreamcast and it rocked my sox off. One of my favorite games ever. I picked up the 2nd one a week ago for the xbox for 35$$$

So I would have went with the second one... BUT

about a year and a half ago I played the arcade version of the first one... and it was a total blast. So mabey if I played them both more I could give you a good opinion.
