You can download the latest driver from the manufacturer’s website, or you can go to the Windows Updates site and click the link that says Find hardware support.

Edit - it will be easier if you click the Custom button on Windows Update for checking for updates, and the update for the driver will be in the Hardware updates list.

You'll have to be using Internet Explorer 5+ to access Windows Updates. I could give you the URL but I'm not sure if it's a global URL - it could be dependent on your individual client ID, but I'm not sure. So, to go to Windows Updates:

- If you have Windows 7, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Install-Windows-updates, on this page click the link that says To install drivers and other optional updates

- If you have Vista, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Install-Windows-updates, on this page click the link that says To install drivers and other optional updates

- If you have XP, you'll click the Start button, then Control Panel, then Automatic Updates, then on that box you'll click the link that says Windows Update Web Site.

Do you know the name and type of your graphic card? If you've checked windows updates, is there only one update that matches the name? If there's more than one, reply with all the ones listed matching the name (with the exact title of the update), and I'll determine which is the driver update.

There are a few ways to acknowledge which card you have. The 2 quickest are:

- Right-click on your desktop screen you should see Properties on the list; click that then on the box that pops up click the Settings tab. On that tab there will be "Display: then the name"

- In your Start menu, depending on which OS you have, 7 and Vista will include a Search box, and XP will have Run. In this box type dxdiag then click OK or the press the Enter key. On this tool there will be a Display tab which lists "Device" and the card info

Chances are that you have DirectX 9 as well as 11 installed. The default Win 7 DirectX installation may only have some DX9.0c libraries just for minimum compatibility, so you'd need to update it to add the missing ones. You can update it here and check if that helps -

When I tried to it said "Directx has determined that a newer or equivalent version of directx has been installed already. No installation is necessary." What should I do now?

Run the DX Diagnostic Tool and see if it finds any problems on the various tabs at the top. Other than that I'm out of ideas.
Instructions for this:

Windows 7 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Diagnosing-basic-problems-with-DirectX

Vista - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Run-DirectX-Diagnostic-Tool

XP - http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/troubleshooting_directx.mspx?mfr=true
Hardware acceleration if you have XP (not sure if this has anything to do with it, but you can try):

Open your Start menu; then Control Panel; then Display; on the Display Properties box click the Settings tab; click the Advanced button; on that box click the Troubleshoot tab; on that box you'll see Hardware acceleration. Slide this to max.

I have good news and bad new. The bad news is that nothing is working. The googd is I know why. I found out that it's a problem with directinput not directx. So I really need help fixing directinput instead of directx.
