Its cool I guess, not too big a difference from the DSI in my opinion. Though I am not sure if the hardware can support bettter graphics. It definitely is something to be able to look at and see that pop-out effect. But be sure u either get used to it, or do not play for an extended period of time. See if you can pick one up and try it out in a store.

Yes, it is so worth it just for the backwards compatibility alone. You can turn the 3D effect off if it bothers you so it really doesn't matter.
