You then obtain all Pokemon on the game, trade all of your Pokemon to the other version, for example trade all of your Pokemon on Pokemon Ruby to Fire Red. Then you migrate the Pokemon on your Fire Red (See example) to either your Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. Then, wait a minute, you can't have all of those Pokemon because there isn't enough boxes. So you can't catch 'em all. Unless you do what cat said and just get all of the Pokemon for all of the versions.

It's possible alright. You just need the right friends over Wi-Fi. My friend, he got many hard to get Pokemon over Wi-Fi, from a friend in England. And they are not hacked. I've examined the stats myself.

Last you need to transfure pokemon from your other games, but you can also be cheep and lazy so you can just use a gameshark or as there called now an action replay but thats not right you should get them the right way, but I am not going to stop you from using an action though.
