When i first got this computer it always went into hibernation mode (or whatever this mode is called)when nobodies been on it for awhile. Now when someone hasn't been on it for like 5-10 minutes it always goes to the switch user screen just wondering why it does this.It never used to go to the switch user screen before why is it doing it now? After being on the switch user screen for like 5-10 minutes it sometimes goes into hibernation mode but for only maybe 5 minutes then it turns back on and goes straight to the switch user screen.Once again its never used to do this why is it doing this now?

This is a new one for me, but with what you have said I am not sure what to look up online but try this: no matter if its a PC computer, or a laptop, when it is plugged into to power (power cord), go into Control Panel and alter the Power Settings to be "Always On", or it might say Choose when to turn off the display, or Choose when the computer sleeps. Set it to what you would prefer. see if that helps. It might be under Control Panel-Power Options.

Someone must have changed the settings and idling times. It's not that the power is the problem, but that in the power control settings tab you can find the options to change this. Don't leave your computer idling for 5 minutes if it bugs you so much though, lol.

What operating system are you on?

You should be able to change what happens when it's idle, and you should be able to change how long until it does something, from your power control settings.

Because there's more than one user account, when it comes back from stand by or hibernation it asks you to pick which user. This is in case you have each user account password protected, so that if you leave the computer someone else can't get onto your account.

It never used to do it before so why is it doing it now?theres only one user on this computer theres 2 users on my cousins computer(he has the same computer as me) and his computer doesn't go to the switch user screen unless the computer gets turned off or you switch users manually. Is there a way to switch it from going to the switch user screen when idle?
