I prefer Blaziken. I loved the type combination at the time (though it's been done to death now though) and I like the Gen III games a little bit more than the original. Sorry, but it's true (and I watched Pokemon back when it first aired in the US).

The last 3 fire starters have evolved into Fire/Fighting Pokemon. so sad. I voted for Blaziken, simply because of its hidden ability, Speed Boost, and high attack, and it has access to Baton pass, Swords Dance, Hi Jump Kick, and Flare Blitz, as well as Brave bird.

You look up into the sky, and see a curious form flying down towards you. It is a Hydreigon, and it lands in front of you and says...

I voted for Charizard. My of my top favorite 151 pokemon. He is dragon-like, its a classic Pokemon, and can fly, as in I could ride it lol. Blaziken is cool as well, but Charizard as it beaten in looks even, for me at least.

I would say Charizard. He has a better type being a fire-flying and also can learn dragon moves. I have never thought Blaziken to be a great Pokémon but have always known Charizard to be. Ash's Charizard is great. I also think the first generation Pokémon are much better than any other generation's Pokémon. I think Charizard outranks blaziken by a lot. In my opinion Charizard is one of the best Pokémon.
