While I have never seen the movie, because I just don't want to, and I know that he does stretch the truth and such; I still don't see him as a slime ball.

But at the same time, what I find so idiotic is that people call him un-American because he questions the actions of the government. Um... if it was not for the colonists questioning the actions of the British we would not be America today. Or have you all been so brainwashed by so called "patriotism" that you forget the basic history of our country? To question the government when you think it is wrong is a defining trait of the American people, but we seem to have forgotten that; and it is truly a sad thing because it is one of the things that makes this country great.

If the footage was used without permission, then Moore is in the wrong, but he is still not deserving of all the hatred that is laid at his feet.

Firstly, for the 14,000,000,000th time, I am not, nor have I ever been a member of the Democratic party, because they are no different than Republicans in my opinion. Also, I'm not an "ultra liberal", so your labels are not only wrong, they further prove your ignorance about me. For the record, ignorance means "lack of knowledge", not "stupidity".

Secondly, I would make the same remarks if an "ultra liberal" were in office. You know why? If you look at the political spectrum, ultra left and ultra right are almost the same except for their roots (as I was tought by my devout Christian, Republican Civics teacher). Hitler was an ultra conservative, Stalin was an ultra liberal; if you look closly at the methods that both used, you would see they are simular, but they hated each other and the other's ideals. If you think that I would keep my mouth shut with someone like Stalin in office then you are sadly f***ing mistaken!

And generally I do make suggestions. However, I've stoped bothering because most of you teenagers that live in some tiny ass town in the northern midwest think that all arguments can be won by calling someone a "liberal" and insulting them on issues that have nothing to do with the topic at hand, or even the person's actual political views... just stereotypes. I offer proper debates only to those that show the maturity to conduct them without resorting to such childish behavior (such as Geeogree, usually).

You know why I didn't question Clinton's administration? Because I was in grade school for most of it and didn't care about politics. If I had been older, I might have. If Gore had won, and did something I thought was wrong, I would not have kept silent because of his liberal views. If a president does something wrong, I don't give a flying f*** WHAT party he is in. There is a responsibilty to the nation that they must fulfill, and if they do not do it in a way that is satisfactory to the people then we have the right to question, to demand it be done better. That goes the same for Senators, Congressmen, Judges, Cabinet members, Governors, Mayors, etc.. If you think that the people should be denied that right, denied the ability that the creators of our nation fought so dearly for, then why don't YOU move out of America and go live where the people are not allowed to speak their mind!

Ever since 9/11 it seems that if you speak up against something the government does wrong in your opinion, you are labeled un-American. The people do the labeling are usually people who fly their flag everywhere and claim that they are being "patriotic". Sure, in the old Iraq that would be patriotic, but not here. Waving Old Glory does not give you the right to say who loves their country and who does not. That is not insulting anyone's intelligence, it's stating a fact. If you take it as an insult, then you are admitting that you are guilty of it because you know it to be true. Right to dissent is what makes this country great, what makes people want to live here, what makes the country worth fighting for. To say that dissenting is un-American is like saying George Washington was a Tory! Patriotism does not mean "blind obedience", and people need to remember that!

And as a side note for the staff: On any other board that I have ever been on, that post would have earned DNG an instant ban for blatent flaming. However I've noticed in the past few years that no one seems to give a f*** about enforcing the rules anymore unless it suits their own intrest. Do you people even read the rules anymore?

I can't hate Micheal Moore for his beliefs. I just wish he would finally move to live with our "great" neighbors to the north (where he thinks they have no crime and everyone is smarter). I have a problem with his movies being presented as documentaries. If he were a documentarian, he would show you the picture, and you would have to make the decision on your own. Instead he uses creative editing to promote his agenda, glosses over some of the finer details (that would negate his whole arguement) and will even set up bogus scenarios to misguide his audience. Most of the people that have been "interviewed" for his movies have been pretty pissed off at the way they were portrayed. I'm not surprised he's being sued, and I hope more people become aware of his shady tactics. By the way, he's not actually from Flint, Michigan. That was a lie.
