What do you think of putting leftovers in the fridge and heating them up the next day for lunch? I personally hate leftovers they just dont taste the same as they did the first time.

I think it pretty much depends on what it is. I think after heating up something like leftover pizza or Chinese food it's just as good. But I hate leftover french fries. Those are terrible.

i think that the crappier the food is, the less bad it tastes warmed up. Exception being french fries, of course. '○'

If you know how to do it, you can heat almost anything and have it taste almost as good. My Dad cooks a lot so he knows all of the tricks.

soxfan849 :
Choko453 :

To reheat french fries, put them in a toaster oven on whatever tray came with the toaster. It heats them up without making them soggy.

A lot of the don't, especially fried food.

But I pretty much rely on leftovers, I like to make big batches of food and then reheat them later. Good food for leftovers are salads, fruit salads, oatmeal, pasta and pasta sauces, rice, stews and casseroles. You can hardly tell the difference as long as you seal them properly.

BNuge : Alright, I'll try that. My dad does that to reheat pizza sometimes and it works fantastically, but I've always just used the microwave for leftovers.

I think it's a great idea! Why waste food that's still good?

Also, a lot of leftovers from cooking are the tastiest parts of the meal that look like nothing when they're removed from the main meal, but can be combined later into something that's often superior to the original meal.
