I've seen it before. It's an error that mentions stuff about the server. It appears as a black screen with bright yellow text. I didn't copy the whole complicated message. The end of it was in larger white text so I made sure I copied that part:

Couldn't connect to MySQL server

I've seen this error before and always dismissed it as a quick error that goes away. The difference today is that it happened two different times spaced at least an hour apart and each of them lasted for at least ten minutes. I also noticed on the Index that there aren't very many people online (335 right now), so I don't think it's a bandwidth thing.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Not always just server strain from users, it can happen sometimes when David is doing maintenance, an update to the site, is backing up files etc. etc.
