Title says it all. Do you think that Marvel's Galactus is on equal terms with a god? His powers listed on his Wikipedia page certainly think so. His origin is supposedly that he was the only survivor from the previous universe after the Big Bang (or something like that), and that he merged with the sentience of the universe.
His powers:
"Galactus wields the Power Cosmic and can employ it to produce nearly any effect he desires, including the molecular restructuring and transmutation of matter, the teleportation of objects — even an entire galaxy — across space or time, size-alteration, the projection of energy with indeterminable destructive force, the erection of nearly impenetrable force fields, the creation of interdimensional and intra-dimensional portals, telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and a form of cosmic awareness.

Galactus is also capable of creating sentient life, resurrecting the dead, manipulating mortal souls, memories, and emotions, and restoring dead planets and populations in every detail."

In the terms of the marvel universe, Yes, his powers equal those of a god-like being.
Although, I wouldn't really say he was a god in our universe.

I don't know about that either, the only power that he's missing that would make him God is , well . . . invincibility? He can pretty much do anything he wants, but he can be stopped or delayed.

That's just it. It's because they can only delay him or drive him off at best is why he could very well be considered a god. He can basically shape the galaxies however he see's fit, and if that isn't godly, nothing is.

"One of several deities, especially a male deity, presiding over some portion of worldly affairs. Understood as Life, Truth, love, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Principle."

"The one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe."

"A supreme being according to some particular conception."

These definitions of "god" are from dictionary.com.

Literally, as "a god" I don't think Galactus fits the bill, unless you go by the third one, and ignore the last condition.

I think the Beyonder is more fitting as a god, in a representation, and even literally. You could call Secret Wars a parable. Or any Marvel story like that.

Don_Rob : That's true in a way, he may not be necessarily immortal, but if nothing that his enemies possess can destroy him, I guess he would be considered, "un-killable".
Dai_Jua : Good point. While the Beyonder might be considered more powerful, The Living Tribunal is more powerful than him, and he was once a herald of Galactus. It's kind of a toss up between a couple of really powerful beings.

I say but he is dam well borderline! He is like one the ultimate beings, though is isn't what I would call supernatural, like a god or deity might be. He is tangible, and can be defeated I would think say enough of other superhuman/super-powered beings confront him.

UserMike : Yeah I suppose, since The Fantastic 4 alone could hinder him. If for some reason all the powerful beings similar to Galactus attacked him, I'm positive he would be destroyed.
