I like all the extra features phones come with now days, and I guess I would be a fool to buy a phone for it's extra features.

I have a razr (somewhat over rated), and on break at work I'm always surfing the internet on it, playing games, texting my gf, or just checking the time. The camera feature is very usefull because most people dont' carry camera's around and i'm sure everyone has had them situations many times when they say "if only i had a camera right now".

The new slvr has all the razr features and more. You can have around a hundred MP3's on that phone. Why would someone want that? Well if someone likes music they would.

So basically, why carry more things when you can have all them things packed into one thing? I could either be smart and just have and carry a cell phone with me, or I could carry a camera, mp3 player, sound recorder, cell phone, phone book, calendar, calculator, video game handheld and a watch all at once...but that'd be pretty silly.

Anyway, cell phones with awsome features are comming way down in price.

As it's been said, if you don't like the features cell phones have, than just don't buy them.

You want cellphones to be like PDAs?
Heck, there's a lot of promise for hacking Nintendo DS's.
Could you imagine?
Use the microphone on the bottom left, and the speaker on the top right.
Put it on the side of your head.
Talk into it like a cellphone.
Because it's wireless enabled, it uses the wifi to transfer VOIP.

It's got a touchscreen so you could click in your phone entries with your fingers.
DS should have a notepad application, a calculator, a calendar, a full office suite.
It already has a date-chooser that looks like a calender and a time chooser that looks like a clock. It could hold so much more profile information... Why doesn't it?

Nintendo didn't want the DS to be extremely expensive, and they just wanted it to serve it's purpose. IF you want extra features, PSP is the best solution, if just want pure gaming, DS is the best solution. If your extremely stubborn and want hand held gaming without all this new extra crap that DS comes with (mic, touch screen, etc), than you can just go buy a Game Boy Advance. If someone is sick of seeing color in their handheld games, they can go to the very first Game Boy.

I disagree. VERY easy to implement VOIP phone functionality onto the original DS with an extra game cartridge. It has all the necessary hardware, and it has WIFI already.
A little more difficult with the new version, considering the placement of the microphone.
VERY easy to make a notepad application/desktop suite cartridge too.

Well I'm just saying the DS doesn't offer as many features as the PSP.

Well Lowell they are making a Internet browser for the DS, they may even have some type of desktop thing in Japan. Also Metroid Prime Hunters has voice chat with anyone on your friends list between matches, so it's possible.

Have they made roms and flash carts available for DS yet?

There will always be phones availablye for dirt cheap that will offer very primitive features, and if not, you can just use an older phone. Phone services aren't cheap, but they have nothing to do with the phone itself, and also, phone services have never been cheap.

Look at hard drives on pricewatch. How much for a 35 megabyte external hard drive? You can't find them anymore. But are they free? Don't kid yourself.

I think I'll reduce the cost of my phone service to a dollar a month. The users aren't doing anything fancy after all. And phones are free anyways. That's right, for the ever increasing cost of an Ice Cream Cone... You too could have a cellphone!

Yeps. Alot of people been on ACA (A current affiar, its a current affairs show...) saying that they got charged highly on there phone bills. They get phones, give them to teenages, they go on net, download games , ringtones and who knows what else, then get a $8,000 bill. Then the parrents go, ohh, how'd that happen...
