I would start by playing the most famous like Mario Sonic, Legend of Zelda, 2D games. Also some good side scroller shooters are the famous Contra, and a personal fav. on SEGA Genesis is Vectorman. Also many Pokemon games r on here.

Hey, if you're looking for pokemon, I would say start with pokemon yellow. Then go with pokemon crystal and after that play pokemon emerald. Those are pretty good games. Also, pokemon sapphire and pokemon silver are good. For hacked pokemon games, there is pokemon emerald 386. Don't do that one unless you know what you are doing, cuz that is a lot harder. also try zelda, a link to the past and zelda ocarina of time.
