It's not so much it'd make us rip our hair out, but not so little that it would go completely unnoticed by the big chatters.

legacyme3 : Not to mention you already get 100 Viz per a day for coming to the site (that's assuming a user doesn't use their daily Viz to play some games) so that's basically a free 100 minutes a day and if you want more than that, you gotta post (or find other ways to earn viz).

That is perfectly fair and reasonable, and the only people that will complain are those too lazy to make 1 or 2 posts to get some very easy Viz.

If they are STILL complaining, they can also always donate to the site, and that nets them Viz as well. There is literally hundreds of ways for the every day user to get this to work. Finally, there might be a reason for me to hold on to my viz, and make the chat room useful to the site as well.

Over the last few days, Ive realized chat is a luxury, and we have abused it a lot. And a lot of us could handle without chat at all.

I think a fee of 2 or 3 Viz per minute would be acceptable and may generate even more posts. It's a fair price especially since Viz isn't that hard to come by. It also may get users to spread word of the site, using Viz earned from referred users as an incentive. I've found that's a fairly easy way to earn extra 2-3 hundred Viz a day.

I'm not sure which you prefer to go up more, but it does seem like both would go up.

After my 30 postsish of the day I chat for 4 hours or so. 4 hours=240 minutes. That's 240 Viz. Which anyone can easily pay.

Now if we go to 2 or 3...

2=480 viz, close to what everyone can pay, but some don't get that much even with posting. You gt 100 a day automatically. 380 Viz from posting is a good deal of posts, seeing as the average user only posts 10 times a day when they do post. 10 posts=around 80-120 Viz. You still have 260 to cover, and most people will beg for Viz in the chats so they can continue talking to their friends.

3= 720 Viz. That is pretty ridiculous, and even I find that obtaining 620 Viz a day through posting can be a trial, seeing as I average about 25 Viz per post right now. To get 620, I would need to make 25 posts at this length. I'm not kidding you, I make longer posts than a lot of users do, so if you have the average user making 10 Viz per post, they will need to make 62 posts a day to chat. 62 is an awful lot, and most people will not consider it at all, and would probably sooner leave site for an alternative that is more reasonable.

This is why 1 is a good starting point. It's easy to pay for everyone. It's not a hinderence. And eventually they will have to make a few posts every now and then to replenish Viz.

Referals are nice if they are legit, too many people cheat though.

I remember having seen a few, and I had assumed that there were many cheating the system that were not caught.

legacyme3 : I guess that's true. One Viz per minute just seems like a low amount, and I'm not sure how long people generally spend in the chat room. I can see how any higher and it may actually cause more harm than good, however.

Also, I'm not aware of how to cheat the referral system, but I'm guessing it would take more time than it's actually worth. I just made a Youtube video of me playing a game with my link in the description box. It works fairly well.

I don't think that is entirely reasonable. See by making the cost Viz related, instead of post related, you make it so you don't NEED to post to be in chat, you could simply donate, which is even more helpful to the site.

If you make it related on posts per hour, what if I just made 40 posts today, and am tired as all hell? Should I be forced to make 2 or 3 more posts in topics I've already been instead of using the vast reserves of Viz I have accumulated?

I tried the new chat with the Wii, and my only complaint is that the typing bar (whatever it's called) is in the middle of the chat, so it cuts off part of the messages. Otherwise it worked fine. It had no problems in Safari, so my main ways of using chat are pretty much fine.

zaqmonster : Yeah that would work, you could basically PM me the number of the card as well as any other info about the card. Not only would that help vizzed out and help get us a better chat room, I'd also award you 100,000 Viz for that.

The 10 dollars I just donated is for the chatroom. I hope we will be able to raise the money soon.
