Do you use Liquid eggs? Have you ever used them in the past and stopped, why was that?

I use them whenever I can get them, it seems easier for me to get whites for some reason than whole eggs, but never mind the whites are totally fat free.

I like liquid eggs as they tend to be pasturized and that means I could if I wish drink them raw, like a boxer, but as you may know the white of the egg is much much better for you cooked as it 'releases the proteins' and there is something else that changes in the cooking process that makes them more digestable too.

I do like cracking my own eggs into a bowl, but I do tend to get bits of shell no matter how careful I am and as the eggs are not pasturized I always have to ensure they are perfectly cooked, although when I make pasta carbonare I know that you dont cook the eggs at the end and just stir them through the pasta with pancetta and peccorino cheese, this is the real carbonare, and it tastes amazing!

No, I don't use liquid eggs. In my opinion they're more expensive and harder to know how much you're actually eating (since you don't know how many egg whites you're ingesting). Plus I don't really like the taste. If you like them though, more power to you. XD

It's the first time I read about it. I didn't know there was such a thing.
I just eat regular eggs, which I prefer them to be soft boiled.

I don't eat eggs anymore, but when I did eat eggs I ate them from our chickens. My parents have about 20 chickens living in our yard, and they produce lots of eggs. There is no reason for my family to go out and buy eggs from the store. So I have never (and will never) used liquid eggs.

Liquid eggs are no more "disgusting" than regular eggs in my opinion. It's just an egg cracked into a carton and pasteurized. If anything they are actually less disgusting because they are pasteurized and thus less chance of getting bacteria in your food. "Regular" eggs have been recalled many times in the past, because of all the disgusting crap that gets on them, and they are not properly cleaned so it poses a hazard.

no, I don't, I can make killer scrambled eggs though.

You look up into the sky, and see a curious form flying down towards you. It is a Hydreigon, and it lands in front of you and says...

no, I don't, I can make killer scrambled eggs though.

The Hydreigon, finished speaking, spreads its six black wings and flies off to who knows where...

Be nice, click on and interact with all of them!

In addition to the great information provided by Annette, liquid eggs also generally are only the egg whites, not the yolks... therefore it is less fattening and has lower cholesterol than standard eggs. Thus it is good if you fear heart disease or want to eat healthier without giving up on eggs.

Liquid eggs are also often used by people who are allergic to eggs because in most cases it is the yolk they are allergic to. The most recognized brand of liquid eggs is Egg Beaters.

I would use it, but it is often too expensive and I have recently gone from a household where we barely used eggs to one where eggs are common and thus it is not cost effective to have them. I am still tempted though, since high cholesterol runs in the family.

Nnope, I don't even know what exactly a liquid egg is, but reading above comments, no, I have not tasted it.

Other eggs, however, yeah. I like them when they're scrambled.
