I have to agree that Magikarp is the lamest! It's SO hard to train, but the funny part is that once you've trained it, it turns into Gyrados and becomes extremely useful! XD

Cjjjj : Have you tried training him in the original Red or Blue? Also, it depends on when you get one. I get one before I even get to Cerulean, and since he starts at lvl 5... I've always found it a bit difficult to train Magikarp early in the game.

I actually like Metapod. If you train it up from a Caterpie, it can use Tackle, a very useful move that will allow it to take on enemies. Plus, it evolves into a badass butterfly, what's better then that?
