Well... I'm at an awkward point in my Vizzed life. I'm banned from chat (no idea when it ends) and I have nothing to do on this site.

I tried playing games, but I'm just not feeling it.
I tried posting, but once again, I'm just not feeling it.
I've tried other sites, and gone in their chat rooms, I'm just not feeling it.
I've tried having a social life irl, I'm just not feeling it.
I've pretty much tried everything except hardcore drugs, which I'm not about to do.

So I need ideas. I need something to do, at least until my chat ban is over (if it ends =P).

What do you do, when you literally have nothing to do?

legacyme3 : Well I like to watch movies and documentaries so that may be something that interests you… I normally work a couple of days a week because fight cards are typically scheduled for Fridays or Saturdays etc so usually I work from Friday to Tuesday depending on how quick I can get my work done.


When I am in what I call “Down mode” (Days off) I typically watch a lot of television and spend a lot of time trying to clear space on my DVR etc. During days like that I usually spend time watching DVDs via my DVD changer and such, so I find ways to fill time.

I am usually tired on off days so I also try and rest a little… But a good movie is always a good way to deal with bordom…

When I have nothing to do on this site, I would just go to Youtube and watch some of my favorite vids, if you tried that, just listen to some music on your playlist.

Find something from your childhood that you enjoyed. You may find out that whatever it was made you happy as a kid can still uplift you ten years later. That's the specific reason I joined Vizzed.

I have most of those already in my favorites. I've been using anime and manga sites for the past 5 years. But I'm that stage of life where I want social interaction. I live in the middle of nowhere. So I can't do too much here.

Why don't you just talk to people on the phone? You get social interaction and you don't have to actually be near the person.

I would, but I don't have good phone service. If I use my cell it costs my mom money, and she said if it ever costs her money, she will cut me off, then I wont be able to even text.

And I can't use the home phone or it costs gram money, and she needs that money so we can keep living here, we are barely scraping by =/

too much time in front of the computer can make everything seem like "you are not feeling it". seriously, go out. you don't have to have social life to go outside or you don't need to "participate" in it, sometimes being on your own is just what you need. but outside of the house.

You know, there are ways around that. Skype is free and Google now has a phone service that's free for calls between US and Canada.

Well, you know I'd recommend reading your Bible, that or vid games... those two keep me occupied.

legacyme3 : From my PS3: I know what that feels like. I am an admitted hermit so I obviously don't go out much. In my case it is more to do with not having much money most of the time to be able to afford a night out or two. It can be a real downer particularly since I have a hard time dealing with stress and I worry endlessly about not only myself but those close to me.


The last couple of years have not been easy and for someone who has suffered from anxiety in the past, it has been extremely trying for me in the last year in particular . It seems like you and I are alike in a lot of ways... Lately for me it has been very trying and for lack of a better term it seem as if the world is coming down on my family and I.


I really wish that I can get to a point where I can be stress free and able to relax... I do not sleep well with all the stress that I deal with so if I were able to relax and go out more it may not be the answer to everything but it would be a start. I sincerely hope that my scenario is not similar to yours because I wouldn't wish constant stress, worry and, sleeplessness on anyone. I apologize if it seemed like I went on a bit of a rant. I fight off anxiety frequently so this tends to be somewhat therapeutic for me at times.

legacyme3 : the paradox is that in order to overcome the fear of communicating (or call it whatever), you have to go and do the thing, no other way.

How about joining community events or hanging out with real life friends?

Yeah, I agree with Juliet, if nothing is going on with your computer life, then you should do something with your friends or do community events or something. That can work

It's not so much I'm afraid of communication, it's more that I'm afraid of being disliked by a HUGE amount of people. Irrational I know, but I feel that if one person dislikes me, they will tell others, and many will dislike me.

I looked into it, and my town doesn't have any, I live in the middle of nowhere. As for real life friends... as dumb as it sounds, I only have one. I just recently moved here, and school is the way most of these people know each other. Not many people my age even live here anymore, having gone onto college and other things. I can't go back to college because of financials.
