How do low carb diets work?

Indeed do they work?

My man calls them Man diets as he eats loads of meat, a canivores diet for sure.

But is it sustainable?

I tried it, cut out all white processed sugar foods, inferior foods such as white bread, pasta, confectionary, white and powder sugar and the demon rice.

It seemed to work, no more bloating and water retention.

but what about the fats?

eating too much fatty meat cannot be a good thing surely

whats your experience of these diets?

are you on one?

my man bought a load of ketone measuring sticks and every time he measured high levels of ketones goes out and celebrates, without alcohol of course!

roll on the heart attack? I hope not my am I concerned

I have not particularly tried low carb, but it should be sustainable, but I would imagine it would be better to go back to even amounts of carbs and meat. Exercise is where we lose most of our weight. Also much more meat for too long can be unhealthy. But there are loads of things you can read online on this stuff. I never mind an opinionated post though.

I've never tried any "weird" or "suspicious" kind of diet
If you really want to lose weight, just try to eat around 1200kcals daily (I don't know how much is in kj, sorry). If you're used to eat much more, like 2000kcals, then try to reduce it slowly to this amount. It really works, I've been doing this for a couple of years and it works very well! I don't have to worry about my weight anymore.
I think people should eat everything, but they should reduce the amount of their meals, that's all, in my mind.

I do not believe a high protein or high fat diet can be healthy, especially not in the long term. Not a fan of heart disease.

I eat complex carbohydrates (whole grain and whole wheat) regularly, as well as lots of sugar from fruits. My diet includes NO animal fat, only vegetable fat such as peanuts, canola oil, olive oil and avocado. With this I have been able to lose 20 pounds over the past year, and continue to maintain my good health and weight loss. ^.^
