I dont know what it is but every time I hear the word "whatever" I think of a spoiled teenage girl on pms and some attitude problems that is best way to describe it.

I think it mainly has to do with the 90's influence... the movie clueless or spice girls are one of the many examples where the word "whatever" can be associated with spoiled brat princess persona Definitely a lot of 90's to do with it as that is the time frame I grew up in and words like brat, spoiled, and cooties were over used.

Being from Southern New Jersey, people here tend to use the word "mad" incorrectly. What people usually mean is "Very/A lot/big/Really"
