I've been invited.
I'm fighting this war,
I didn't plan it,
Yet, here I am, fighting.

Every day,
It seems like a losing fight,
Right before my eyes,
The lights focused on me are too bright.

I never asked for the pleasure,
I don't have the desire to dance for you,
I don't want to be your puppet,
I've got far bigger plans to pursue.

I'm caught in this trap,
Being enthralled, pushed into battle,
I didn't want it,
But it is my reality,

I'm fighting a war that I shouldn't have to fight.
Against my will, I have to fight for me.
Because no one else is going to fight for me.
If I have to fight off a hundred, a million, I will, because I am strong.
