I've played on both systems before and I say that the PS3 wins this out because the PlayStation 3 has a better graphics engine than the Xbox 360 does, the PS3 also has a better drive for playing movies (Xbox has HDDVD while PS3 has Blu-Ray), and the PS3 has a better control layout than the Xbox 360 does (I found the D-pad on the 360 very irritating).

I own an X360, but there have been times where I regretted buying one, and should've went for the PS3 instead. I like both consoles, really. But in the end, I'd say the PS3 is the better console. Blu-ray drive makes for better looking games, you can play nearly every PS2 and PSX game on it if I'm not mistaken, and it has a free online service. (even though Xbox Live is more secure and has quicker download times)

I prefer PS3. A lot of apps on it are free that you have to have a Gold membership for Microsoft to use, like Netflix and YouTube.
On top of that, even though I have larger hands compared to most, the Xbox controller is too clunky in my opinion.
