Some people can fall asleep more easily with a TV or radio on. Do you need some kind of background music/sound to fall asleep?

I agree with September. I need complete silence to fall asleep...considering I'm an insomniac it's hard enough to sleep, but with a tv or music playing.. it's impossible!

it's strange how I sleep. I sleep with this fan on every night and it lulls me to sleep. I can also sleep to music. I can't sleep with people walking around, but construction noise is fine. I don't understand it really.

I can sleep any time, with almost any situation. I once fell asleep standing up waiting in line to get some food. Luckily, it wasn't a very long line, and this guy behind me woke me up every time the line got too far ahead. He saved my spot while I slept basically.

Actually, all I need is to feel sleepy and calm enough, and to not have many worries in my head for tomorrow. If those 2 are ok, then I would sleep no matter the surroundings. If I'm not clam and sleepy enough, when I go to bed, then yeah every noise, but even complete silence, can become very annoying
