I have played all three. They are all very different gaming experiences. Xenosaga is obviously along the lines of science fiction, with an alien-based plot and many cut-scenes. Star Ocean is a cross between sci-fi and fantasy with the game actually crossing between the two. It focuses more on what side-quests and such you can do for fun. I like the other two series, obviously, but Persona is my favorite. It just has that certain appeal, from good music to good plotlines and characters you come to care for. Try Persona if you want to lose many hours of your life to an very enjoyable gaming EXPERIENCE.

I haven't played any of these, but I've played Xenogears. I assume that's in the same series as Xenosaga right? It has the giant mechs and everything.

Sephitard9001 : No those are different, but everyone should feel free to comment on any PS2 series of games that they have played.

UserMike : Ahh. Well, I can't remember much about them, but I think they had a deep storyline. I feel bad about it, because I guess I was too young at the time to really get into really deep. The battle system was similar to Final Fantasy, a turned based fight. There was an option to actually get out of your giant mech mid-battle in order to use the person's special abilities or something like that. I remember there was a split-screen mode as well where the players would fight one on one by choosing one mech from the entire game.
