I suggest if you want to do that, download VBA and the Pokemon Fire Red rom. Then change the VBA settings to save Flash 512K.

This is a problem in a lot (but not all) Pokémon games on this site. The game is not capable of saving in the game itself. Using the RGR save works fine up until you beat the Elite Four. Normally, you would beat the Elite Four and the game would save itself. Since that can't happen, you can't progress beyond the Elite Four.

The only thing you can do is make sure you don't save after beating the Champion. If you do save after winning, there's nothing you can do to restore your game. If you saved during one of the battles, just lose and it will restart you back in the Pokémon Center. You can still explore, but you can never get the perks that are only available after the Elite Four. Reply back if you have any questions. I'm familiar with the Pokémon games in the RGR.

The more traditional way of getting old games is downloading them yourself. Google VisualBoyAdvance, then Google Pokémon FireRed to look for a ROM of the game. VisualBoyAdvance runs the ROM on your computer so you can play. The main problem is finding a source that definitely doesn't have a virus or malware attached. There are a lot of ROM sites, but I can't really vouch for any of them.

I don't think you can, but I'm not positive. The Berry Crusher was used to make Pokéblocks for contests. FireRed doesn't do contests, so there's no need for Pokéblocks. This is just my guess. It might be hidden around somewhere. It's been a while since I played this game.
