I'm just wondering what people think about vlogging in general. Vlog is short for video blog. You can read more about it on Wikipedia:

I subscribed to a few different YouTube users who make regular vlog videos. My favorite is johneepixels7. I like watching them more than reading regular blogs.

I thought of this when I referenced vlogs in another thread.

BNuge : As someone who was “Blogging” long before “Blog” was a term I think it is a good idea for those who either have a busy schedule and aren’t able to devote the adequate time that is needed to write a blog or, it is good for writers whom are busy with multiple commitments to do a video or audio blog as a way to either maintain commitments or save time.

When things are normal I usually work four days a week on either blogs or other commitments if I were clear and had the necessary equipment I would be open to doing a video or audio blog. In my case it would be a welcome alternative in situations where my hands are in pain. (Almost sixteen years of heavy duty writing will do that to one’s hands.)

It is also a good way for one to garner exposure depending on the genre and content of the material…

I watch a few vlogs everyday (CTFXC FTW). I used to make them too, but I didn't really gave an audience and I felt like I was wasting my time. I know youtube has this orbit thing that brings vloggers together, but I never got into it. I'm more of a type blogger myself.

Vlogging is pretty entertaining and beneficial. When the vloggers create thight-knit communities, at times they get together and do charity benefits. Last year, a few UK vloggers held a 24hr blog cast to raise money for UNICEF. It ending up being a huge success and they raised around £20,000! (The total might be a bit off, my memory is a bit hazy.)

I also watch several daily. (CTFxC, Shaytards, Katersoneseven, and other non-daily vloggers.)
