I've been in a mental hospital when I was 15 years old for about 4 months.

My social worker in high school felt I was so "paranoid" I couldn't function in society and need therapeutic help. For unknown reasons, I was sent to be evaluated....and apparently the doctors felt the same way.

Unfortunately I had to stay for 4 months until they decided I was "cured"...I think the whole thing was B.S. I am perfectly sane.....

Nope. never been in one. never want to. Anything such as a hospital or prison I will try to avoid. I hate being confined for any reason possible. Not a real fear though... just hate it. I feel that I'm perfectly sane to not have to be put into one.

They used to make me see shrinks all the time when I was young cuz I wouldn't go to school or would "accidentally" break some kids nose or something. Then I mellowed out in highschool and don't mess with no "mental health" stuff anymore, not that it is unhelpful to people or anything, it mighta helped me for all I know.

I have never been in a mental hospital. The closest I've come to is my neurologist for seizures. No big deal now.

I've been to one when i was young teen for trying to commit suicide. It wasn't as bad as i thought though. The one i was in, i've only seen maybe one or two crazy people. Mostly everybody else was in for the same reason as me.

No I have never been to one, and hope I never have to. I wouldn't mind visiting one for educational purposes, or maybe as like a tourist location; some really old creepy one.

i've been to a few...I always loved Terrall state...I was sent their originaly for suicidal depression. First day they seized half my clothes due to them having skulls and demonic pictures they said. I shared the day room woth about 7 others...1 was a cutter, 1 was schizophrenic, 1 was a anorexic emo, 1 was just waaay too hyper, one was acting crazy so he didnt go to jail for assault, and the last was just a nerd smartmouth whose mom stuck him in cuz he wouldnt shutup. I made freinds with them all, except the smartmouth due to obvious reasons. I saw the therapist every other day, where we talked about family abuse, drugs i had taken, and other things to see about my condition. we had group therapy everyday, where i refused to speak(i didnt like the psych that came in the mornin, he looked like a skinny santa and always wore sandals) I was on suicide alert almost my whole time their, so i couldnt have belts, shoelaces, etc...we went to a few different therapy groups, like music and animal therapy. in animal therapy i got to see a cute chick who cut her arms from wrists to armpits, and we shared a short romance while we were there(its a mental facility man, might as well flirt) in music therapy i alway got mad cuz we got to choose songs that we wanted to hear, and my option for "puff the magic dragon" was always shot down. we got to play games on a 50 inch tv on wheels, mainly star wars battlefront 2...as far as movies about the most violent thing we could watch was daffy duck...we did have one cartoon about gnomes drinkin milk and gettin all hyper that i watched over and over...everyday was pretty much the same, wake up late, get scolded for refusing breakfast, wait till we can watch stupid tv, goup therapy with weird skinny santa, go back to tv, go to lunch, go to cool therapy with hot cutter chick, come back with evening staff and have cool time(evening staff were cool, they brought texas chainsaw massacre for us once), then go to bed at like 8:30...it wasnt that bad of a place really, just boring
