I've been wanting to run an irc server for along time, but I can't because my ISP closed all my ports. Does someone know of a way around it, or is there an IRC server built with PHP?

Yeh. If not, either get a different ISP , or search for a server u can hire online. Maby even use one of the bigger IRC servers (with permission).

I don't think there's a chance of me changing my ISP... well maybe, I'm thinking about talking my parents into swhiching; b/c cable shouldn't cost this much for as bad as it gets sometimes. I wish I had the funds to have a server off site, but talking to someone like ETG may be all that's needed. My uncle is starting a company, so I'll use his server when he gets it setup. One of the problems with that is having to figure out Remote Desktop with Linux, I'll figure it out one day. Thx for your help Bob.
