i've been thinking about this and i'd thought i'd make a post about it getting others on the boards opinions

as 4 me: fate

the way i c it is that time moves forward and there is only ever 1 outcome despite different choices, therfore destiny seems 2 apply better that choice.

not sure i explained that well enough i may add 2 it if i am asked 2

and think there is a difference between predestination and foreordination

predestination is basically fate.... you can't get away and you will do something no matter what...

foreordination means that there are certain things available to you in life depending on your choices....

I think that you always have a choice and that different choices put you onto a different path in life than you would otehrwise be had you made a different choice. I also think that all choices are made by us and not by fate or any other power.

I do not beleive in fate, it is all choice... some choices are harder than others. Some carry consequence... some will have no effect on the future...

For example, today i have the choice to do the dishs, its insignificant and not doing them will not change fate (mainly because the dishs is 3 plates... WOW)

But a choice that might change fate is if i decide to steal something from a shop or rob a house. I have no intention to do it now but if i did future would be different.

I would also like to add that in those movied where people see into the future and try to change the events that occur. Anyone find it funny that in the attempt to stop that one event, they infact create it. Like in that tom cruise movie... damn it! uhh the furturistic one where the predict murders and s***. He trys to stop the events, and trys to avoid killing that person but infact the events that occur lead to that very thing. There is another movie that has a better example.. but i dont see the point in saying it as this paragraph was not interely related to this thread.

However, i believe in choice. Sort of like... the matrix... SORT OF... Everything begins with choice...

You make your choices. Karma makes the results.

Everyone has a choice that determines there fate.

God's plan relies on our cooperation in order for it to be fulfilled. We all have our agency (the ability to make choices) and God won't take that away from us. He wants us to choose what we do in life and that determines the type of person we end up as. God didn't make us good or bad, and he certainly won't force us to be good if we don't want to be.

I think it depends on the situation. If it's something I want...then I control it...if it's something that's gonna happen weather I like it or not...then it's controlling me.

Fate is how you end up. So i dont belive in fate, because everything end's up somewhere. If you know what i mean.
