Hello Vizzed Board, members and staff alike,

I just ran across your board today whilst looking for an alternative to downloading a whole new set of R.O.M.S and emulators after my last computer made it's final death twitch. Happily, I found this site and I have to say: it is very groovy. I especially like that it uses an emulator I've downloaded in the past. I'm not looking at the name of it right now (I'm terrible with names); but, earlier, I clicked on Super Metroid and immediately felt in familiar territory.

To introduce myself, my real name is Joe, but I prefer to use my pirating name, Mackeary, for online purposes. I'm a college student; still working on a general liberal arts degree. I'm also a single-dad of a 2-year old daughter, who I refer to as my "Mini-bot" due to my zealous nature about G1 Transformers... I'm still trying to figure out what she transforms into

As far as what I want to do with my life, I aspire to design and publish table-top games. This follows a pattern in my family. My dad is a tournament war-gamer (lots of 40k), my mom used to be a tournament role-player, and one of my uncle's is a Grand Master at chess who writes periodicals on the subject. Not only do I love games of all different kinds, but I figure 'why fight the flow?'.

But I digress, I'm glad I can be part of this board and I hope I can be helpful with my posts. I generally am Chat Room shy, but I'll post from time to time, especially on matters of game design or mechanics.

Welcome to Vizzed, mackeary! I found this place in an attempt to find Nintendo games online, and I, too, love the entire concept of this website (play games for free but earn your credits by interacting with other people).

I myself am a college student right now and I am studying for Criminal Justice, but I may have that as a supplement to another degree with a similar path --since I would not be physically fit to handle Law Enforcement.

Do not worry about being chat shy since I hardly know how to start a conversation. There are other forums here you can post on that are specifically about video games, including design. Oh, and mad props for following in your family's foot steps and enjoying it.
