I'm reading 'Howl's Moving Castle' right now. I watched the movie first and to be honest, I like the movie better. I know the book is how the story was meant to be seen, but the movie just speaks to me more.

The last book I read was 'Citizen of the Galaxy', by Robert Heinlein.  I can turn to Heinlein anytime I want a quick read.  He's got a bunch of gems that are around 200 pages, and are stand alone.

fishygrl888 : Yay, I am not the only WoT fan here! I think Dragon Reborn is around when I started wanting to smack Rand in the head though.

<-- Owns the entire series.

But yeah, right now I am currently reading Seeker by Jack MacDevitt. It's part of an interesting series that is very sci fi, but kinda reminds you of Sherlock Holmes in a way, and he has a great history built up that he uses a lot since the events take place nine or ten thousand years from now. The first book is A Talent for War, and I highly recommend it.

i read a reddwarf book, as in the comedy space series, not as in a small sun, although its name does stem from that so i guess i do mean that, but not really, only...nevermind, i read a book based on a british made space comedy set in the future after mankind is long gone.
The tv series was better than the book i discovered very quickly.

Hmm...I finished reading The Childhoods End a few weeks ago. I liked it! Even though the characters seemed a bit undeveloped and dead to me.

Last (and also newest) book I've read was James Luceno's 'Darth Plagueis'. Tackled this one a few months ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Recommended to anyone who enjoys Star Wars, regardless of their familiarity with the Expanded Universe.

Right now I'm reading Guardians of Ga'Hoole: The First Collier, which is the 9th book of the series.

As for Sci-Fi, I don't really read sci-fi books, so I'm not quite sure.

The last Fantasy book I read was Inheritance ( Eragon Inheritance Cycle. )
It's a really good book series ( four books. ) Which I would recommend any fantasy fans to go out and read.

septembern : The last sci-fi/fantasy book I read was Metro 2033. It was a good book, although I can't get the second book in the series because it hasn't been translated to English yet (the author is Russian). I am currently reading some fantasy detective novel or something, Mom bought it because of the dust jacket art, read the description and gave it to me to read. She didn't realize it was about a necromancer, she didn't know what a necromancer was until I explained it to her. so far that book is good. A lot of dark humor but good.

Currently, I'm in the middle of reading the Harry Potter series. I made it halfway through the 3rd book a couple years ago, but then I stopped reading for awhile, so I decided I should read it from beginning to end this time.
