I like Harry Potter more, but I have some interest in Twilight.

Potter reigns supreme! The whole premise of Twilight is just very off-putting to me, and everything I've heard about Myers' writing style just doesn't sound like my shtick.

I'd have to go with Harry Potter on this one. I don't really like either, but Harry Potter has at least some interest with me. The movies aren't half bad, and the books are alright. Twilight kinda gave vampires a bad name. Now everyone thinks that vampires are sparkly.

Harry Potter all the way! I have never read Twilight, but from what I heard, it pretty much features bad romance and vampires who have lost all sense of cool.

I'm man enough to admit that I like the books but I dislike the movies for twilight... but harry potter is still 10 times better XD

What sane person would pick vampires, and crappy romance, over wizards, and death, and awesomeness?

Vampires DON'T sparkle! The Twilight saga has the dumbest premise ever... that's right, creepy vamp stalks teen girl, f***s with her feelings, and then knocks her up... chaos ensues. The whole thing is a romanticizing of a seriously abusive relationship coupled with some of the most horrendous writing of our times... it shames me as a writer to know it exists.

... I had a Twilight-obsessed friend give me a summary of the books. I will never read them. Ever.

Harry Potter is SO much better and it is written for children! What does that say to you?

It's kind of insulting that the two would even be compared! Twilight = trash. Sorry, but Stephanie Meyer has no idea what she's done. The books and movies are horrendous and I have lost respect for anyone who has been in them. If you want to know about vampires, read Dracula or an Anne Rice novel. I have actually read the books and seen the movies, and I refuse to see or read them ever again.

Harry Potter on the other hand is amazing. The writing is great, funny, and intense. I have read the entire series through at least 4 times. I almost had a panic attack reading the fourth one where Cedric (ironically later to become Edward Cullen in Twilight movies...)died and Voldemort came back. The movies give me goosebumps, though I have my reserves about Emma Watson, though she's progressively gotten better at acting, and no matter how many times I watch them, Dumbledore's death always makes me cry (even though that particular movie was the worst of them all). I didn't even really like the Half Blood Prince Movie, but I bought it anyway and would still rather watch that a hundred times over before Twilight.

There's absolutely NO, I repeat, NO comparison between the two. But that's just how I (and all those who really know what a Vampire is) feel.

Twilight is a piece of crap that should never have been written or made into a movie. Stephanie Meyer's writing is on par with a third grader, and her idea of vampires is so warped it's not even funny. To think, the younger generations who have only seen Twilight are going to think that all vampires are supposed to be like Edward Cullen. *shivers*

Now Harry Potter isn't exactly a masterpiece. It has its flaws, but it is still an amazing story and trumps Twilight no contest.

I don't see why people think it's fair to put Harry Potter next to Twilight. Obviously HP is always going to win. There's really no contest.

Just like what SexyGamer1989 had said, the two shouldn't even be compared. I would prefer to even read the Underworld books (which cam after the movies?). Harry Potter is I would think for the younger audience, and I overlook some flaws as some call em, though I didn't see any; Harry Potter imo has a better story, and better dialogue even?

I didnt read Twilight, and i only watched a little of the movie and just hated the concept, i read most of the harry potter books, have watched all the movies up to date, and am anxiously awaiting the last movie.

Harry Potter is way better in book wise and Movie wise (besides Goblet of Fire)

Harry Potter seems to have better stories in the movies...even though its books are better, but Twilight I can't stand. HP wins.

Harry Potter all the way. I like whoever originally said, "JK Rowling wrote a better love story in a single chapter than Stephenie Meyer did in four books." There was a time like four years ago when I actually kinda liked Twilight, but not anymore. Harry Potter blows it out of the freakin' water.
