Well, hello there. I'm SugarBurn, but you can call me DiDi. I'm here thanks to CelticUprising (you can blame him later!). I'm puertorican and I'm 23 years old, and work for a company that does HR Management. I love cooking, fixing cars, crafts and, of course, gaming. I live with C.U., and thanks to him I love games even more than I did before. He's the first boyfriend I've ever had who's encouraged me to game. I'm a lucky girl, and he's AWESOME.

I had a very limited gaming background in my younger days, mostly due to my mother and her belief that fighting games weren't for girls. Up until I turned 10-11, all I knew were racing games. I mostly played Super Nintendo games, then got my brother's Sega Master System. Then my uncle got himself a 3DO (do people even remember that???) and I got to play with it whenever I wasn't in school or he wasn't using it. Even then, the best games I played on there were MYST and Soccer Boy. Then, something incredibly awesome happened. My mom bought me a game called Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. for my N64. Then she got me Baldur's Gate, so what can I say, she helped create my gaming style for years to come. All through college I played Starcraft and Diablo II with friends. I still love adventure games and fighting games. I even played WoW and Final Fantasy XII for a while. Even though I enjoyed those games, online gaming is just getting too expensive, so I just went back to playing my console games and having a good time.

I'm also a proud member of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) where I take on a Norse persona (because "viking" is a verb, not a noun. Took me a while to learn that.) I spend time playing Magic: The Gathering and participating in D&D campaigns. I did spend some time playing an army of Sisters of War, but decided that being the only girl in that place was a little creepy. It probably had to do with the fact that I didn't generally trust the people I was gaming with, so I might try my hand at it again.

On a personal note, I love my family. I have a daughter named Mya, who sadly I don't see that often, but still love with all my heart, my stepson Xander who is one of the most amazing children I have ever met, and my dearest Tommy, who is the best thing in my life. I also own the only gay, bi-lingual dog in the world (it's a long story, but oh so entertaining) and his name is Loki (after the Norse god of mischief). We also have a cat, named Nero, who is insane but fits right in with the rest of us.

I guess this is all for now, unless people want to know more or I remember something cool I forgot, heh. Oh, and per CelticUprising's request: BACON!!!!

I remember my first console. It was the Nintendo 64, my dad bought it when I was like 4, so me and him, and my little brother all played for hours and hours. The first game I ever got was Super Mario 64, man I loved that game, and I still do. I wish I still had my Nintendo 64, it brings back so many memories of being a kid, er a young kid. I'm only 14 so I guess I'm still a kid to you. Nintendo was my favorite console growing up, until I got a PlayStation 2 for Christmas a while back, I remember it came with Jak II. I don't think I slept for two days straight playing that game. lol.

Any ways welcome to Vizzed, and I hope you enjoy the games! If you have any questions just PM me and I'll be happy to help the best I can.

Thanks for the welcome! I loved my N64 too. The controllers were just awesome in my opinion. I never got to play the Mario game for the N64... I didn't get play any Mario games until I was around 12-ish, and that was at a friend's house. My mom seemed to have something against Italian guys saving princesses, heh. Come to think of it, I didn't even OWN a Mario game until we got some for our Wii last year. Sad, huh? Always loved to watch people play it, but I still SUCK at them.

Again, thanks for the welcome and I really appreciate your help offer!

Pleasure to meet you Zephyr! I'm sure Celtic will appreciate the blame storming, just as much as the bacon. Thinking maybe a jar of Baconnaise would make a great VDay gift for him. Heck, that might be true for most of the people here!!! And, thanks for the welcome!

Yes, yes! Welcome to Vizzed, sweetie. Thank you for allowing to take you even further into the Dark Side. MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Ahem, sorry. As for the blame storm, I happily take that hit. Being blamed for converting people into Gamers is a burden I've proudly taken for years.

May the Bacon be with you.
