I used to think it was VII because it was my first one. But almost all the 8-bit ones are better. I also hate how everyone says FFII sucked. It was a great game, just a little hard to get used to.

Definitely Final Fantasy VII. I think the fact that it was the first 3D Final Fantasy, as well as being the most uncensored Final Fantasy released at the time.

Plus the fact that it was at least twice as long as any other game I played at that point, all help influence my enjoyment for the game.

I played FF1 when it was new, it was OK. Then when the SNES came out FF got an upgrade, then FF3 US came out and it was like a revolutionary game to me because it innovated concepts far beyond FF2 US. Well then I found out that 2, 3, and 5 were Japan exclusive so it made sense how they developed the ideas for "6". Then 7 came out and innovated all of the series again into the ultimate FF in my opinion. So FF7 will always be my favorite because, aside from FF9, it sticks to the roots of the series and it's style is better than the rest.

Final Fantasy VI was definently my absolute favorite. Each character had its own background story, and plus, Kefka made an absolute great villain.
