I tried gum, nasty!

I have not tried a patch, hardly smoke so no good to me!

I thought of nicotine free cigs, but they were too rough

Cigars are an alternative, but leave me no better off!

I rolled my own, nice nad thin! lovely, and then I decided not to smoke at all.

so what is a good alternative?

One of my friends over on Xeogaming swears by eCigs since they are just the nicotine and still look like normal ones, so you have the same psychological sensation but there is no smoke, no bad chemicals, no tobacco. He had a whole post about it that is far too long to copy/paste so I will just link to it. Honestly, as an opponent of smoking, even I have to admit that it is one of the better alternatives.

A friend of mine uses E cigarette (which I don't get the point of) but to each their own. Some use gum, compulsive eating, anything to satisfy the oral fixation.

I think the best alternative is simply quit cold turkey.

If it's THAT difficult to quit....I say candy or chocolate.
