Hey there...brand new here and I'm trying to play Star Raiders from the old Atari 2600. Screen comes up, Java starts, but I can't figure out what buttons I need to use to control game action. Do I have to have a USB joystick or can I play it using keyboard? Thank you for the help...

Do you have any idea what the objective is? I just spent 5 minutes on it. If you click "Select" with the mouse it will bring up... something. I don't know what to call it. If you click "Reset" then it will take you to a map. You can use the arrow keys when viewing the map, but I can't understand what it wants me to do.

The game seems to be working from looking over the manual (here), but I'm not sure if I fully understand how to play it. On the emulator's site there's a page listing the controls.

Thank you for the response and the information...the paert I still cannot figure out is how to change to the first person Battle View from the dfault Grid View. In the original game for 2600, there was a separate controller from the joystick that allowed you to toggle between the Grid View and the Battle View. Any ideas how I could toggle to that view?
