You know, I've never looked at it that way DNG... kinda works in a way really. It's also because men don't want to give up their power... the movement for women sufferage started nearly 100 years before the 19th Amendment was passed... it'll probably be as long before a woman president is elected. Of course, the people seem to be more open to the idea now... if current television shows are any indication.

Here's a thought: What if the "liberal" president is actually a good leader? Are you still going to do that just because your ideologies are different? People now don't make anti-Bush shirts because he's a conservative... they do it because he's not a very good president.

My bet is Republicans will choose a female candidate as well if Hillary runs. As long as it's not Condolezza Rice I'm happy... she just seems like she'd make a horrible president. Of course, I don't think Hillary is any better really.

But this is all off topic really.
