IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!
This is my third VCS, took me long enough to place . I can finally actually say I placed top 10, and top 5, in a VCS. YAY! .

Yay I found an error in the final results that ultimately means nothing . On February 26, you added 8 points to Ken's score, even though he only earned 6. Compare the total score from the 26 to the total score from the 25th. Other than that, it's perfect. Next VCS, I'll try to update my sheet more often. Excel is better at math anyway as long as you know how to use it.

Yay VCS is finally over. I can slow down on posting and get back to the RGR and making layouts!

I won!!! As I said and knew from the very first day. A cause for celebration *flails arms and throws confetti all over the place* .... can I put this accomplishment on my profile now or should I wait for a certificate or something?

Yay, I just got into 10th! This was my first VCS and I got into the top 10! I feel honored. Can't wait for the next VCS

BNuge : Geeo should put charts together like that. It looks a lot better then the pure text ones he does.

Anyways, yay! I made it into 4th! That's one place better then what I got last time (5th), so go me!

BNuge : you might be running the next VCS. I barely hand the time to do this one so if you want to the VCS can be run by you instead.

I would be interested in seeing that spreadsheet that you put together. If you don't end up running the VCS it would still be useful for the person who ends up doing it.

Truth is, that chart is nowhere near fancy coding. I took those 3 columns from my Excel sheet and copied them into my picture program, then saved it as a JPEG and uploaded it.

Depending on the timing, I'd be happy to do it.


If you care, this is what I did:

With Excel, I wrote in the score for each day for each person. On the next day, I moved on to the next column. I have individual columns for the scores for all 28 days. From there I used a fun feature from Excel. You type the following into any cell you want:
=C2+D2+E2+F2...
That cell will now have the sum of the numbers in each of those cells. In my example, B2 had the user's name and A2 was the cell I used for the sum. Because all of the cells (including the sum cell) were in the same row, I used an additional feature that allowed me to apply a similar code to as many other cells in that column as I wanted.

All I had to do was fill in the new numbers each day and let Excel add it up. The hardest part was reordering the names. Organizing by rank had to be done manually (lots of copy/paste). I'll attach an example. I had to remove the equals sign at the beginning to get the code to appear. If I had included the equals sign, then a single number representing the sum of all of those scores would have appeared instead of the code.

the_casualty : Looks like you get the coveted and sought after 4th place slot. Good job.

Ahhh... It's finally over, and I got second. The only bad part is, I'm the first runner-up.

BNuge : Now that it's over, I'll say where you went wrong: you were too lax on the second week. You were only aiming for seventh or so those days, and that's what cost you second. If you had gotten more points those days, back when I was getting my firsts and seconds on the days, there would have been a legitimate battle for 2nd.

YourMajestyKen : We all knew how it would turn out by about a week ago, but congrats anyways. I'll probably either skip or go light on the next VCS (unless it's June when I've got nothing to do... ), then go for the gold again on the one after that. Polls and Questions needs time to be revived.

EDIT: YMK, you should make the brag spot on the area above you profile pic gold. You were probably gonna do that anyway, but I'm just saying just in case.
