My favorite would have to be Facebook, because at least on there there are less pedophiles. Plus you don't have to deal with crappy layouts.

I don't really like either but I guess I prefer Facebook.

I use Purerave more than anything else, its so addictive. Facebook is way better than myspace though imo. I cant even remember my myspace username

I pick facebook because myspace isnt popular no more and most of my friends dont get on there anymore

I definitely like Facebook better. At the same time, Facebook is going to take over the world. They're expanding faster than Google did even though Google has more going on. Almost every successful company has a Facebook page to represent them. Now Facebook is planning an email system so people can do all of their online work through a single site.

Fackebook is way better than myspace, because of all the really annoying layouts.

I have to go with facebook on this one, its much more popular, none of my friends have a myspace anymore, its much more convenient i say, i think facebook is all around better than myspace

M!cH@3l 001 : Unless I missed one, no. I haven't seen a another thread like this. As for the question, I used Facebook more often, although I don't use even that a whole lot. MySpace is going downhill. It's not as popular as it used to be. They've had to cut 500 employees recently, so you know things aren't looking good. I imagine the people at Facebook might buy up Myspace before it completely goes down. One can only imaging what they'll make it into if that happens.

pickachu52 : I don’t really have a preference here but I do have a facebook and a twitter account but, the only reason I have those accounts are business related. If you were to take business purposes out of the equation I doubt that I would even consider social media simply because I come from an old school way of doing things and such.

My main concern is privacy and staying as far away from the negative aspects of what turned me off to social media when they first became the “In” thing years ago as physically possible. I have reconnected with a few old friends though but it’s usually of the “Hi, how are you variety” and not really social beyond that because I am always cautious of business.

So far though I haven’t had any problems and I think that is because I am neurotic and made sure that I was guaranteed total control of settings that protect my privacy and such even before getting on those networks. As I say that though I will say again that if it didn’t more or less become mandatory for my work I probably wouldn’t give social media a thought.

As long as the topic, none of them. I think that people just overexpose their personal informations using this kind of sites. But that's just my opinion, it doesn't mean it's the right one.

noelia : I agree with you… This is one reason why I was hell bent on not even getting on social media is because it’s ripe for trouble in regard to personal information and what people may or may not post etc.

I try to keep what I post strictly work related but I also have put things on there in recent weeks along the lines of great football games last night etc. I doubt I will ever get comfortable enough with the whole concept that I’ll be sharing my personal ups and downs via social media. I’ve only been on social media for about a month and I have been extremely apprehensive each time I logon to either media I use so I am definitely not anywhere near resembling a comfort zone.

I don't like either that much - usually I only use it to contact friends, and they only use it when they want something from me, but I do prefer Facebook.
Although there are a lot of cases where strange, foreign people have a phase of sending out friend requests, then messages, and it's like they never give up..

Never got in to myspace. Found it pretty annoying.

A big thing I see with those sites are the horrible, chatspeak like, hard to read writing skills. It's really not that hard to type correctly - Plus it shows just how bad their spelling is. I guess that's one main reason I dislike them haha.

I stopped using myspace, and actually prefer facebook. It is true there aren't any annoying layouts. Also most of my friends mostly use facebook anyway, also its great for like connecting to people, like a group for your elementary school, or graduating class.

I did like Myspace until I discovered Facebook.

Myspace is full of spammers and bands trying to advertise themselves....and because of that I don't bother going on anymore.
