I have started visiting the hacked/homebrew section of the retro gameroom but find this area of Vizzed much less developed than the other sections.

I am really interested in playing hacked and homebrew games and supporting the Vizzed users who I presume spend hours crating these games.

The problem I findis that the games have little dscription of what changes the developers have made and this makes it difficult when presented with the information to know which game to choose or when playing to know how the hack will affect game play.

I am sure that there are many Vizzed users out there that can help me on this one and recommend me the best games to play there, I find it all a bit overwhleming if I am honest.

What are your views too?

I honestly think this belongs in the hack forum, but since you're staff I'll leave it to you to decide whether someone should move it.

If this is the first hack you've ever done, I highly advise hacking Pokémon FireRed. If you've seen any of the hacked Pokémon games, they can become very original. Most of that hacking involves changing the maps and the script which is actually pretty simple. The hardest parts for me so far is avoiding glitches and making a decent storyline. One of the biggest glitches is that I lose control of my character if I engage in any form of battle on a map that has a created character. If you make the new dialogue for a character too long it can also become an issue.

If you want to know more about how to hack Pokémon games, you should check this thread:

Thanks for this. Your thread reminded me that I need to get back to my hack.
