The hardest boss I've fought was the final boss in disk 2 of Til the end of Time. That is the only final boss I have ever given up on. He had an AoE attack that always knocked out at least one character, usually two (out of three) and left whoever was left in critical condition. One more hit left critical condition. I gave up after about 30 tries, no point in wasting even more time on it.

The very last level of the very last world of Crash Bandicoot Warp... it's probably so hard by that point because everytime I play, I start from the beginning and don't stop playing until i get to the end. It's usually an annual thing I do with my cousins haha

My hardest fight with a boss was probably either Saturos and Menardi in Golden Sun or the three headed Cerberus on God of War 3. The latter took me about 60 times although I don't know if it qualifies as a boss

Did you guys ever heard of the game I wanna be the guy/boshy? Its a really difficult platform game and everything kills you in 1 hit so all the bosses can kill you with 1 hit! But they have like 100 hp. Also you have a gun but it only does 1 point a damage at the time. And the most difficult boss is from I wanna be the boshy the 5e boss, sonic, all bosses have a pattern but sonic doesn't so you have no clue where he is going. And 1 hit kills you so it makes it really difficult to win.

The hardest boss I have fought in terms of tries in attempting to beat him was the last Major Battle of Halo 2. I think I died some 20 times solo, cause of that stupid shock hammer. So i got my friend to help me, and we finally beat him. I think it took us all of about thirty-something tries. >.<
