Where I live, schools never ever closed as long as I remember since we don't have critical weathers or for any other reason. But sometimes when it rains a lot and the roads are blocked because of traffic many students don't go to school but the schools still remain open.

Unfortunately, universities' deans don't care if it's snowing so much, that we can't move. So even though this year was snowing a lot here, we had to attend all of our courses

Well when I went to school years back the only time it got canceled was once. And guess what, it wasn't your average snow day... it was a snow week! We got the whole week off that is how bad it snowed. It was at least 3 feet of snow.

Never.. well as long as i have been in school we have never had a snow day (because it doesn't snow here) or we have never had any severe rain or anything, so yeah as long as i have been in school i have never had the privilege of staying home from school due to the weather causing a shutdown...

When i did go to school many years ago the school was never closed due to weather.
Through a blizzard, hurricane, or earthquake...my school would still be open.
I'm so relieved not having to wake up early for school

My town is notorious in the general area for two reasons. The cops are incredibly strict and they almost never close the schools even if every other town/city in the area is closed. We did get a few days off though. There was a nice blizzard my senior year so we didn't have to make up the days.

So in the two weeks that I've been back, there's been a lot of snow and bad weather. Despite all of that, the school hasn't closed once. However, I still missed two days of class. The first day, there was ice on the road and my Dad didn't feel comfortable driving on that + I really didn't feel like going lol. Last Thursday though, it was bad enough that the buses stopped...but the school didn't care. I had no way of getting there outside of the bus so I just stayed home and watched Samurai Champloo all afternoon followed by basketball and my rough draft. All in all, it was a fine day!

Oh hey, this is relevant to why I'm staying up late.
So, no school tomorrow due to snow.

This is probably the sixth or so time we've cancelled in the last month.
I've been surprised by the amount of snow days, since my school had their own plowing system in previous years, and there were days we'd have to go in for school with 2 feet of snow.

My school's principals changed over the last 3 years though, so instead of following their own snow day rules (never cancelling, as they did before), they follow the public school's closing schedule (cancelling a lot.)

I'm extremely happy since this is my senior year.
Make up days are for underclassmen ;3

It really depends, like last year we got off a good two weeks of school. This year, we've gotten off of school I think 2 or 3 times. I've been getting a lot of 2-hour delays lately (like today).
