Cave Story: Freeware, or Update?

Would you prefer the Freeware version of Cave Story, or the updated WiiWare re-release? Freeware original? Or WiiWare update? Includes new graphics, new gameplay modes (Boss Rush, Time Attack, new playable character)
Freeware man, it ain't that much different!

So, do you prefer getting your game free, or paying a little more for extra stuff?
Basically, there's this PC freeware game called Cave Story that this Japanese guy made and posted online and some people took the time to localize. It's great fun, and I recommend getting it in some way, shape, or form.
Well, it became so popular that indie game developer Nicalis struck a deal with the game's creator to polish it up a bit and release it on WiiWare (it also made it to DSiWare, but I'm not as up-to-date on the differences in there). The upgrade included enhanced graphics and sound (graphic comparison here and here), two new gameplay modes (Boss Rush and Time Attack), and a new playable character.

My personal preference is the PC version. While I think boss rush would be fun to play on here, and time attack might be interesting, I enjoy it being free and don't really care about the updated graphics/sound (although I will say I really like them, they don't make much of a difference for me).
