Overall I gotta give this to Mortal Kombat II followed by Mortal Kombat I, though discovered in the opposite order. MKI led up to such a fat build and MKII actually followed through. Killer instinct comes in maybe even between the two. I always liked tekken in the home setting better cuz I didn't discover it till later and things like PS1 and N64 took over.


Edit: for the love of it I forgot SFII in terms of originality it gets the win. It started it all with me as far as the fighting game genre goes. I very likely would never have had above exp w/o it, but. I've had more fun playing other games in the genre but I still gotta give it ups.
