Pretty much all of my friends have nicknames. I have a few.. One is Lee, because it's my middle name and I often go by it.

My nickname has followed me everywhere since high school. It doesn't matter where I work, who I meet, where I move/go to school. Everyone associates me with this nickname. Funny thing is, it isn't because they know it is my nickname. Everyone just comes up with it. Everyone ends up calling me Boo. My real name is Radley, so everyone associates me with the book 'To Kill a Mockingbird', so they all end up calling me Boo. I will never get away from that nickname no matter where I go.

Though that isn't as bad as a temporary high school nickname. The book 'Holes' got brought up in conversation some how, and the whole first and last names being reversed like the character Stanley Yelnats was talked about. My friends pronounced their names backwards. Then one friend looked at me and said 'Your name would be Boo Oob.........Boob!!'. That lasted for about a year.
