As for my most hated enemy its got to be the star things called Asteron's on Metropolis zone.  I mean how can you not find them annoying!!

Those blue things with four spikes that appears at the Death Egg in Sonic & Knuckles. (Can't remember name)

And the Grounders of Aquatic Ruin Zone in Sonic 2, Way annoying.

Sonic enemy that i hate is really this ice spike dude. Like the game was nice when you get an shock bubble and his spikes goes away. But the thing that get you is..... One: there is a lot of those enemys though out the stage. Two: is when your going really fast that when they love to pop up. Even though you have the bubble to block the ice you still have it man body. THEN boom, you lose your bubble. Now your able to lose your rings. Three: I just dont like them it not like they real nice any ice enemys can get you iced up at the end. And the next enemy that get me mad is (if this count) the eggman item box. Not common but kills me a LOT. Like in the ice stage once the first enemy that i hate, come and your shield is gone. You walk slow only because you know, your about to die so you jump on this spring for this level and you up high. So you make a mistake and fall off and jump down. INTO AN UGLY EGGMAN BOX. Which takes moments to kick in. But there not just one there are 2 so you take one at a time. Only because when sonic jump from an high place. He dont just go down and jump off the box he bustes though the whole thing. So first it the rings get gone. THEN YOUR LIFE. What an ugly way to die. Reply if the eggman box counts as an enemy. Thx!
