My favorite Generation III game is Emerald. I loved the idea of a Battle Frontier. I really hated how the game was finished after the Elite Four and Sky Pillar. I beat the game on my GBA complete with all badges, gold symbols, and a Pokedex of 346. Generation III is still one of my favorite generations of Pokemon to this day.

This is another great Gen to Pokemon, despite what some Poke fans say. I loved Emerald, how you got to go through Sky Tower to stop the fight between Groudon and Kyogre. Battle Frontier was awesome as well, a great idea for the franchise. GO Gen III!

vizwiz123 : Yeah I don't know why some of the nerds don't like this generation. I mean, this was the first one to really think outside the box. I loved the new Pokes, weather, secret bases, etc. I spent over 250 hours on my Ruby version. Fun fun fun!!!

My first Gen III game was an emulation of Pokémon Emerald. I accidentally deleted my game right after I found Latios. A few weeks later I bought Sapphire online. I was partway through replaying it when I started playing a different game. Now I have completely lost it. I still have Colosseum and FireRed though. I'm trying to fill my FireRed Pokédex. I'll catch every Pokémon that is available in that game, then use Action Replay to generate the rest of them onto Colosseum and trade them to FireRed. I actually need AR for Deoxys, Mew, and the other Event Pokémon.

I couldn't remember the last time I had flown, but then I remembered I had played Pokemon Ruby the entire plane ride to Chicago, my brother was sitting beside me cheering me on as I tried to catch the Regis(one of the small things in Ruby I loved). My mom said, "You remember the year by the Pokemon game you played?" And I thought if it had been any other game I might not have remembered. I remember, even after I had beat the game, and done everything I could have possibly done, I would still sneak hours into the night playing Ruby; it just never got repetitive. It is so hard for me to put into words, but Ruby is part of me. It made me love Pokemon. I hope you felt the same way about the game as I did, because Ruby was my life for so many years.

The first Pokemon ever that I raised to level 100 is my Blaziken on my Pokemon Emerald and I am currently trying to raise my Kecleon to level 100. I don't really like the storyline. I think it is too confusing and hard to understand. The Pokemon introduced in the Generation however, were fairly decent. Overall I give Generation 3 a 7/10.

Generation 3... the one that is better than 4, but worse than the other 2...

I liked it though. Decent pokemon, a decent story for the first play through... I'd say it's a good game... but I prefer most others to it, because it's just not the same.
