Do you think solar energy is the way to go? Why or why not?
My opinion is yes because it is WAY cheaper and it comes from a very plentiful source. It doesn't harm the environment either.

I'm all for it. I would do it with my home if I could.
Solar energy will really help out.

If there's a way to harness enough energy to power my whole house, and I have the time/money to install it, I'm all for it. It's much better then using energy made by burning coal (which is where most of our energy comes from) or nuclear facilities.

At this point in time, I think it's way too expensive. When the price becomes more affordable, I can see the world becoming very dependent on it. Sunlight is a free resource that can be used for free power. It will be used when people can.

short answer: yes

long answer:yes because it is free, we will never run out of it(unless the sun explodes which wont happen for another 2.6 billion years)and with the global warming then we will have a lot of power(maybe) and by doing that we can stop global warming and cooling(which could happen and its when the world freezes over because the suns ray will be too powerful and bounce of earth)and so i think yes and maybe every one would get it so we can stop burning coal (like vizwiz123 said)

I defiantly think it's a good idea, because it is a renewable resource, and it is also pretty cheap since you don't constantly have to pay utility bills. In addition to that, it also doesn't hurt the environment, so it's a win-win for everybody.

Due to advances in technology and our growing needs have resulted in our natural resources getting depleted at a faster rate. Our natural resources are being consumed to meet our demands for vehicles, industries, Transport, More Power for our homes and commercial uses.

Since the demand is more than the supply it is becoming necessary to turn to other sources of power and which is why I think Solar Energy is the best option...

I don't think its the way to go but, it is definitely a great way to help, and obtain some energy. I have seen school in my area get major amounts of panels over these i guess roofs over their parking lots, shade and energy I guess.

It has a really high installation cost, but in the long run it is a very viable option because not only do you not have to pay for electricity, often you generate excess energy and the power companies will buy that excess from you.

I want solar energy for my home, it is all electric so the energy bill is $150+ a month.

icrazyforpokemon : UV rays are present when it is cloudy as well. Even at night time, though not as strong. It is actually very reliable, and all excess energy generated is stored for future use in a battery. Do some research, I think you would be surprised.
