The game has been delayed a bit
However, there will be a demo for the game available by december sometime. I'm predicting that the full game will probably be released sometime toward the end of next year. Alot of the game, such as graphics and such, are done, it's just a matter of putting the game together and making the events and stuff.
Anyways, until the demo is released, here are some pictures and a screenshot

In the game, scrolls will teach you new moves or skills



In the mall, you will see images such as these when looking at the shelves; you can than decide whether you want to buy the item



Currently there is 1 cutscene (animation) in the beggining of the game. When the game goes from day to night, there will be a cutscene, and another for when the game goes from night to day. There will probably be a total of 5 cutscenes in all.

The final game will probably be 25 MB compressed, and 100+ uncompressed; I will offer the final game on a cd for probably 5000 Viz, and than will ship the copy to your house for whoever would want to get a copy on CD.

I still haven't decided whether the game will only take place in 2005 or both 2005 and 2006.

The end of 2006? That is like forever from now. I can't wait to see a demo though.

If I didn't have a full time job, it would have been released on time, but since I got a full time job, and busy on teh weekends, and I usually spend 1 -2 hours a day studying, not to much free time to work on the game. The demo will be about 1 - 2 hours long, and it'll be the first quarter of the game.

Will we be seeing the demo soon?

I also think I might make the game based off of 2 years rather than just the first 1 of the "new" board, this way if I release the full game next christmas, it wont be so "out-dated". Only problem with this though is, I'd have to find/make more sprites for the members who will be registering within the next year.

I might have a smaller version of it available for those who dont have good connections, I'd just take out the cutscenes or soemthin. For people I know quite well I'll just send them a copy on a cd thru mail for free, and I can probably do that for you, darkknight, aswell, since I already got your address.
The demo probably wont be that big though, hopefully not.

I think your best bet when the game's complete may be to do a "lite" version for internet distribution and then do a deluxe version for the fans to request on CD. That way more people get to experience the game and diehard fans like most of us on the board get the real deal

Looks awesome so far David, you just work on it when you can and let us know when the demo is ready. I want both that and the final release and eagerly await both. I know how it is with the job though, I have no free time anymore either it seems.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to this demo. I've played a couple of new RM 95 games recently and to be honest they sucked. Reviews pending!

The problem with games most people make is, they dont make their own graphics and they dont take time into making the games that they make.
Nice thing about Vizzed Ville, I use none of the default graphics (about half of all the games graphics are done by me), and I've spent lots of time into the game

Yaay, how can I contain my excitment? Its pretty darn hard. It will be a race to master the game.

I'm glad that Vizzedville will use mostly original gfx (as will the games I'm making) but don't forget there are damn fine games like Crestfallen and Midnight Avenger 1 (shameless self promotion) that use default gfx.

Looks great. Can't wait to play it. I'd definantly order the disk by mail :-D

PS: And you should have an option for the CD by mail to actually play real life $$ or pay the 5000 vizzed, because I know that it would take me forever to get 5000 vizzed lol

Yeah, it'd be $5 or 5000 Viz....however, the first week it's released (talking about the final game), I'll be charging 3000 Viz per copy. Hope to have a demo out this spring...hoping.

Oh, I checked out some of them, looking great. It looks to be a fresh, epic experience. When that demo comes out, I'm doing an indepth review ;-)

OOO yeah... I remember talkin to David about this a while back... and he's still working on it... David you got a ton of ambition dude... I'm really excited to play it... who knows... maybe the board will get famous?!
