I remember some show (can't remember the name) back when I was five used love biting as a plot point.

One generic character thought that useless plot character was a vampire because she dressed goth and would sometimes bite when kissing the generic characters neck. Generic charrie B decides to spread the vampire rumor among friends till everyone is a paranoid freak about goth girl.

The episode ends with generic charrie A losing the girl because of his superstitions about her, and the lesson learned is "Just because you have a neck fetish, doesn't make you a vampire"
