hello game fans everywhere, I go by bitmaster64. I'm a huge nintendo fan and as my name kind of hints at, I'm big on N64 games. I'll play just about any console and I love finding a new retro game title to search. It's a bit of a pleasure of mine to find games that players seemed to skip over, the undiscovered gem buried deep in the bargain bin. I have found a number of games that a few may not know of, most of them small little time wasters that people probably saw as a waste of money, a few just never really given a chance, and occasionally a few that really are just crap, but eh, gotta learn somehow. well I hope this is a decent post, and can't wait to start exploring the site, happy gaming to you all

Welcome to the site!

So what are some of your favorite games to play?

I personally prefer to play the games that came out when I was younger. They just appeal to me more. I do play current gen games, just not nearly as much as retro.

That was an EXCELLENT post, in my opinion lol. I love gaming too even though I kind of prefer newer games to retro but before anyone decides to kill me, I LOVE retro games too lol. Are there any games that you would recommend? Games that you know people often skip because it's not popular even though it's an excellent game.

Well, honestly I don't like picking favorites, but if I had to the starfox series is high on the list. I'll play about any game once, but personal favorites are the original Super Mario 64, Starfox64, LoZ Ocarina of Time, and Kirby64: The Crystal Shards. I have played both the original and 360 Xbox, Playstation 2 (which I own one), Playstation 3, PSP, I had a DS Light until someone stole it, every gameboy since the color, and...well that's all that comes to mind. I have a largely varied taste in games, so basically I don't know if I'll like a game until I've played it, but then again my personal opinion is don't judge a game until you've experienced it first hand so it works out in the end. In the line of what you said, one of my favorite things is the nostalgia I get from playing my N64 games, whenever I play starfox I recall times I would play with my father and sister trying to shoot them down while they ganged up on me, because they claimed I was a major cheat, they're just jealous because I got better then they are from practice.

P.S. btw, in response to hl54322, there is a game I personally love for gamecube called "Gotcha Force" which I found in gamestop cheap, it's something like a cross between a robot fighting game and pokemon, because you collect and battle what are known as gotcha borgs, it's a good game single or multiplayer (which is a two on two team battle)and being hundreds of borgs to collect and multiple missions and a few mission/story variations that happen with each time you clear the game, it provides a good amount of gameplay for a simple fighter.

That sounds really interesting. Does the game have a good storyline or is it just grinding for levels?

well, there is a story line, but it's mission based, the thing is the game plays out showing a map of the town, each segment of the map is a different battle field more or less. Every mission has a specific goal to achieve, some times it's just to keep smoking one borg after the next until the whole of the opponents team is scrap (or until your scrap), or once you've destroyed a particular borg on field. once you've smashed so many of them (or possibly at a random, haven't figured it out quite yet) it will put a new borg into your collection, and you can end up with multiple of each borg, so you could make a team of solely your favorite borg if you wanted, best to look up the game.
