What are you're favorite teams of the major sports? Any particular reason why?
Favorite athlete on the team?
Any particular team you hate simply because you're a fan of that team?

For me;

1. Oakland Raiders, L.A. Dodgers, Orlando Magic, Detroit Red Wings (though it's weakening), and none for soccer, don't watch it. My heart is with football and Oakland. I was a 49er fan until Jerry Rice retired and came back to sign with the Raiders. After that, just the history of that organization kept me in tuned with them. Silver and Black til I die! I just always like the Magic symbol when I was young and Shaq and Penny Hardaway were the greatest combo, just never changed my team in that sport. Oh and the Red Wings, I was a Hartford Whaler fan until they moved, I latched on to the Red Wings band wagon.

2. Raiders, Nnamdi Asomugha/Darren McFadden; Dodgers, none; Magic, Rashard Lewis; RW, none.

3. I hate several teams in the NFL; Patriots, for the stupid "tuck rule" of 2001; Steelers, just because; Chiefs, it just has to be; Broncos <---same; Chargers, see last team; finally THE BUCCANEERS...for SB XXXVII...that's never going away.

FOR FOOTBALL/NFL:

1. I like the Giants, Colts, Saints, and Panthers a lot.
2. Eli Manning is my favorite, he's from the Giants
3. I HATE the Cowboys, because they're probably the Giants' #1 rival plus their players suck, plus I hate their name. I also really don't like the Steelers.

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS!!!!!

I hate all other sports... but I cheer for the Steelers because if I don't bad things might happen to me... living so close to Pittsburgh and all.

Above all though, I hate, no I loathe the LA Lakers. You have no idea how annoying their fans are when you live there! I mean, seriously, rioting when you win? Morons! I am so glad that Pittsburgh doesn't have an NBA team, and I can just ignore the college sports like I always do.

Baseball... honestly, I don't care. I feel bad for the Pirates though, since they are the local team that sucks. No soccer here (thank the gods), it was huge back in LA... freaking Chivas. I mean, I respect the sport, but I just cannot stand watching it.

2. Patriots - Tom Brady, Cleveland - Shin-Soo Choo, Atlanta Hawks - Joe Johnson, Sabres - Ryan Miller, Galaxy - Landon Donovan

3.I hate the Yankees, Jets, Colts, and All Canadian Hockey teams .

I love the San Francisco Giants (you know, the real Giants) and the New York Knicks. I hate football (especially the Steelers quarterback) and I don't know much about the NHL or MLS teams.

My favourite players are Pablo Sandoval, Andres Torres, Matt Cain, Tim Lincecum, Buster Posey (my profile pic), Madison Bumgarner, etc. from the Giants. My favourites on the Knicks are Amar'e Stoudemire, Danilo Gallinari, and Landry Fields.

I hate the Dodgers and the Phillies the most out of any MLB team. I am not a big fan of the Lakers or Heat in the NBA. I pretty much hate every football team.

I don't really watch MLB, MLS, or NHL. Nothing against them, but they're just not for me (however I will occasionally watch a soccer or hockey game, really can't get into baseball at all).

In the NFL I would have to say that the Seattle Seahawks are my favorite team. Other than that my teams I like vary from year to year, I just see how things go. This past season, for instance, I liked the Cincinnati Bengals (because the Terrell Owens + Chad Ochocinco WR combination seemed unstoppable, but I blame Carson Palmer for that.).

In the NBA my favorite team is definitely the Miami Heat. (For the people who say "Oh he just likes the Big 3", I have been a fan of the Miami Heat for years, since before they won their NBA Championship. The Big 3 is just like a bonus.) I also like the Orlando Magic (Dwight Howard is a beast) and the Denver Nuggets (although I don't know how much I will like them if Carmelo gets signed to another team since he didn't sign a contract extension with the Nuggets this season).

On the Seattle Seahawks, my favorite players would have to be Marcus Trufant and Matt Hassellbeck. My favorite on the Cincinnati Bengals (this year, anyway... don't know where he'll end up) is Terrell Owens. I've been a fan of his for years.

In football I hate the Patriots (Tom Brady especially), Colts (really hate Peyton Manning), and the Steelers (Roethlisberger). In basketball I hate the Celtics (in my opinion they are overrated, and all of my Heat-hating friends are huge Celtics fans), the Lakers (Kobe is a great player and I used to like him, but now he's just a ball-hog and is ruining the team), the Thunder (Kevin Durant needs to shut up and play basketball, I used to like him but here lately I despise him), and the Cavaliers (I always liked Lebron when he was on the Cavaliers but really hated the team, and now I hope that the Cavs head coach thinks about him saying that the Cavaliers will get an NBA championship before Lebron does, then looks at their current 21 loss streak which Lebron and the Heat just added to).


I just realized that this post got a lot longer than I intended. Guess when I get started I just don't know when to stop. Hahaha..

ExiledPariah : Seattle huh? Not your usual but I like it. Nice to see a fan of a struggling team still supportive. Also, I see your points with Chad and T.O. I'm also a Wideout.

NotJon : Tim Lincecum is DA TRUTH. He is beyond good. Beyond great. Amar'e Stoudamire is one of my favorite players in the NBA.

bchawk88 : Oh yeah I will remain a fan of Seattle. I'm not a "fair weather" fan of them. I still think they've got what it takes to be a major contender; they are a really young team and with some practice they will become great. Plus they're not exactly in the most talented division (no offense to fans of the teams) with the Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals. So I feel they are in a good spot to make it to the playoffs year after year and continue to improve and hopefully one day bring home a Super Bowl victory.

Considering I don't watch sports often, or follow them; I will go with my local team lol, I have only been to a hockey game though. Never MLB, or NFL. San Fransisco 49ers, Sharks, and SF Giants. Thats all really.

Detroit Lions for football.
and the Pistons for basketball.

I know it doesn't count as a big four, but my all time favorite team is USC Gamecocks for NCAA football. Go cocks go!

Sharks are my third favorite team... LA Kings are the second, as they were the local team until I moved out here. I hate the Ducks though, just don't like their style.

NFL favorite team: Oakland Raiders
